We anticipated that this day would come. Our once reliable grant source is no longer dependable, and we now need to find another one. Observations suggest that theater organizations typically seek assistance from wealthy individuals or corporations within their own counties. Therefore, we are reaching out to see if there is a wealthy farmer or corporate office in Kings County that can help us. If you are able to assist, please come forward—we need your support.
In other counties, I've noticed theater companies that receive strong financial backing from local sources. It appears that tech companies or commercial real estate agencies provide consistent revenue for them.
I did approach the nearby pistachio company for support, but their focus is on helping other towns, which unfortunately does not include Hanford. I've also considered reaching out to local dairy farms, but many are gradually reducing their operations. Additionally, food processing companies in the area are planning to relocate to Texas.
In our early days, I sought assistance from the nearby medical hospital, but I was informed that they do not fund the arts, likely due to their own status as a nonprofit organization.
We are thankful for the support from the Hanford Rotary for our projects, though they have many requests to juggle. It would be wonderful if there were more organizations like them.
We have explored firms that specialize in fundraising for entities, but their exorbitant fees are beyond our reach.
We have shared a link on our Facebook page to seek support. If you can, we would greatly appreciate it. The link is https://givebutter.com/5akVnw.
